Webhostface offers three different Shared Hosting plans, each of which is in line with many competitor offers on the market, as far as features go. The introductory pricing is very competitive, offering a 40% discount for your first term (between one month and three years). After your initial term is complete, the renewal prices are still on the lower end of what you will typically find with other hosting providers.

Webhostface is currently advertising the following three Shared Hosting plans on their website:

Their base level plan, Face Standard, starts at $2.94/month ($4.90 renewal price), which is about as low as you will find. As you would expect, the features are limited, and the plan only allows you to host one website, which is not uncommon with lower-tiered shared hosting. While you don’t get all the bells and whistles, you will get a free SSL certificate, weekly backups of your site and content, use of CloudFare CDN, and easy one-click installation of 300-plus software options via Softaculous.

Almost every hosting provider offers these features. However, WebHostFace is one of the few providers offering them at a price this low. One feature that stands out is that this plan includes 1 GB of RAM, which tends to be higher than typically offered with a base Shared Hosting plan. You’ll also get unlimited email addresses, which is very uncommon in base plans and an excellent inclusion for businesses that can utilize it.

One step up is the Face Extra plan, which is $5.94/month for your initial term ($9.90 renewal price). It’s somewhat of a big jump in price, as it’s about double the cost of the Face Standard plan, but it includes many additional benefits.

Most hosting providers offer 3 – 5 hosted domains on middle-tiered plans, but the Face Extra plan from Webhostface allows you to host as many websites as you’d like. You’ll also get 20 GB of SSD storage, which is on the lower end of plans in this price range and is a great starting point for eCommerce sites with a lot of products. Most competitors are offering between 10 GB and 100 GB of storage.

This plan offers twice the memory, with 2 GB of RAM with 2 CPU Core computing power, unlimited Bandwidth, and daily backups. These are all about as good as you will find in this level of shared hosting plan, as many companies don’t specify the amount of RAM or CPU you’ll be able to utilize, and many put a cap on Bandwidth.

While the Face Extra plan provides some great features, the Face Ultima plan offers more room for growth and increased performance. For $11.94/month ($19.90/month renewal) you’ll get all of the features included in the two plans above, plus some additional features focused on powering business sites. This includes 30 GB of SSD storage, which is also on the lower end of the spectrum but is realistically a lot of space, even for multiple sites. You’ll also get increased computing power, including 3 GB of RAM and 3 CPU Core, and unlimited Bandwidth. Premium features include Malware Detect & Protect, Business Mail, and Premier Customer Support.

For advanced users, the Ultima plan includes a list of Dev Tool features, including Python, Ruby, and Node.js App support, SSH access, WP-CLI, Git support, multiple PHP versions, and cPanel Terminal. Be aware that these may not be available by default, so you may have to request access to them from the support team. Many of these features are offered with all plans from other hosting providers but are likely not used often by entry-level website developers. With the Face Ultima plan’s malware detection and protection, together with the regular security patches, this managed plan should offer high reliability with low maintenance required from you to keep things running smoothly.

Webhostface does offer some features with all of their shared hosting plans that are great for all website developers that are not provided by all providers. Free access to a CloudFare CDN is an excellent way to speed up your website by allowing users to load content from a nearby location. This is often an added expense if you need a CDN.

Finally, Webhostface allows customers to choose a server location, either in the USA, Singapore, or Germany. That’s great if your visitors are primarily in a centralized location, but if you get worldwide traffic, a free CDN may help speed up the experience for many visitors. They also offer free site transfers, which can be convenient if you’re moving from another host, but be sure to backup your data before trusting it with anyone!

Reseller Hosting Review

Best for: Freelancers and Agencies

    • Product
    • Managed Managed servers are generally recommended if you are looking for specialised or advanced server hosting and have little to low technical skills
    • Disk Storage
    • Bandwidth Recommendations:
      – Basic sites: Upto 10GB
      – eCommerce sites: 15GB+
    • Free Domain Free domains included in hosting can save you anywhere from $8-$30/year, be sure to check whether it will cost you to renew your domain after the initial year.

For developers, designers, or other entrepreneurs that want to offer their clients private space to manage their websites, Webhostface offers competitive Reseller plans that include great features. These include:

WHMCS with cPanel

Like most providers, Webhostface includes WHMCS on all plans to help you manage billing processes, which goes hand-in-hand with cPanel. WHMCS is the standard for resellers to manage their clients and allows you to easily manage auto-renewals, payment reminders via cron jobs, automatic suspensions, and activations of accounts. The Webhostface technical team will install the WHMCS billing system for you so that you can focus on your clients.

Automatic Backups

Some hosting providers offer automatic backups for shared and dedicated hosting customers, but Webhostface provides daily backups to their Reseller hosting plans. This allows you to ensure to your customers that their sites and data will be backed up in case of server failure or a loss in data, allowing them to restore their site with minimum downtime. You should always encourage them to keep their local backups, but this is a great benefit that you can offer without having to manage it yourself.

Personal and Client Privacy

While it requires that you purchase your domains from Webhostface (you do get one for free with Reseller Hosting plans), they include free Domain Privacy with all domains registered. This is very rare and is almost always an additional cost from other domain registrars. Most site owners like to keep their names hidden, as it’s scary to share personal information, and typically leads to marketing and spam calls.

In addition to private domains, Webhostface offers Private DNS, and the reseller platform is entirely White Labeled, so none of your customers will see any mention of Webhostface (although it’s always good practice to be transparent). Most Reseller Hosting will come with Nameservers that are close to, or the same as, the “parent” host’s Nameservers. Visitors can normally look up the Nameservers you’re using, and quickly find out who is providing your Reseller Hosting. Webhostface keeps this private, so you’re free to run your business as your own!

Hosting Plans

All three of the Reseller Hosting plans from Webhostface offer the included features above and are offered at 20% off for your initial commitment term, with a free domain name (.com included). In addition, if the majority of your customers are in one region, having the choice of a server in the USA, Singapore, or Germany will allow you to offer increased performance for localized clientele.

Webhostface’s introductory plan, Reseller Standard, starts at$15.96/month for your initial term ($19.95 renewal price) and is a great starting point for new companies. This plan includes 40 GB of Storage Space, 400 GB Monthly Bandwidth, and is best suited for up to 15 Accounts. There are only a couple of options available on the market for a lower price than this. It offers the standard features you would see from other hosting providers and allows you to manage your cPanel accounts and billing with WHM,

The mid-level plan, Reseller Extra, offers 60 GB of SSD Storage Space and 600 GB of Monthly Bandwidth for $23.96/month ($29.95/month renewal price). This ranks about average for price, compared to Reseller hosting offered by competitors. Their site suggests that these limits can handle up to 20 Accounts.

For $31.96/month to start ($39.95 for renewals), you can get the Reseller Ultima plan, which includes 80 GB of Storage Space and 800 GB of Bandwidth. This plan states that 25 hosting accounts are allowed, but it’s merely a suggestion as to how many accounts they suggest the storage space will support. There are several top-tier hosting plans that offer similar/lesser features for slightly lower prices, and many that are more expensive that offer increased storage and Bandwidth.

All three of the plans state that you’re allowed a maximum of 15, 20, or 25 accounts, but the FAQs state that you’re allowed to host an unlimited number of domains and customer accounts, which is pretty misleading. After speaking with the Customer Support team, we finally clarified the details. The Reseller Hosting plans include 15, 20, or 25 customer accounts, but more are available for purchase. You’re able to purchase 10, 20, or 30 additional accounts (in those quantities only) for $0.50/each with any plan. You’re only limited by the Storage Space available on your plan. Since you’re able to allocate specific storage amounts to each customer, once you hit your storage limit for your plan, you’ll need to upgrade to a higher plan to add additional accounts, or consider moving to VPS or Dedicated Hosting.

Webhostface also offers some addons that require additional monthly charges. They offer a Search Engine Submission service for a $15 one-time fee, Premium Support for $2/month, SiteLock for $1.79/month, a dedicated IP address for $5/month, and a Standard Private SSL for $39.95/year. Some of these addons are included with reseller plans offered by other hosting companies at no-charge, but with the low monthly charges for Webhostface’s plans, it may end up evening out. They claim to respond to messages within one minute, so it’s unclear what Premium Support includes, but it’s kind of a turnoff to be charged extra for it. We used the Chat feature to contact support to inquire about Premium Support, and received an initial response within 20 seconds! The support representative was quick to respond to all questions, but it appeared that English was not her primary language. Regardless, she was friendly and provided prompt answers. When asked about Premium Support, we were told “it means that your questions will be processed with advantage.” Nobody can expect a response much faster than 20 seconds, but then again, we were using the Sales Chat.

Overall, WebHostFace provides a great budget option for those getting into reseller hosting. Each plan comes with all the essentials to get started and provide enough resources to manage 30 basic clientele sites comfortably before having to upgrade your hosting. We’d have to point out that one downside is the lack of clarity in the plans and lack of included premium support.

VPS Hosting Review

Best for: High Traffic and Fast Growing sites

    • Product
    • Managed Managed servers are generally recommended if you are looking for specialised or advanced server hosting and have little to low technical skills
    • CPU (Cores)
    • Disk Storage
    • RAM Minimum Recommendations:
      – Basic sites: Upto 4GB
      – eCommerce sites: 4GB-6GB of RAM
    • Bandwidth Recommendations:
      – Basic sites: Upto 10GB
      – eCommerce sites: 15GB+

For businesses with Shared Hosting, or resellers looking for additional resources, WebHostFace offers affordable VPS plans that make for a smooth transition, and the ability to scale as your business grows. Most providers offer several VPS plans, but the four plans available from WebHostFace allow bigger businesses to thrive, and afford growing businesses with a lot of room to grow. The VPS plans don’t come with discounts, but the prices are about as low as you will find. Plus, it’s always comforting to know what you’ll need to pay when renewal time comes.

A typical estimate is that one visitor uses 3 MB of Bandwidth, meaning the base VPS plan will handle over 300,000 website visitors per month. If you’re getting that many visitors, it may be worth looking into a dedicated server.

Benefits

WebHostFace offers competitive pricing for their VPS plans, based on similar features and resources. They allow you to utilize servers in Germany or the USA for VPS plans, so you can speed up your site for users in specific locales. You’ll get full root access, which is expected with any VPS plan, so you can have full control to manage users, and cater the software to meet your business needs.

Once you get your VPS from WebHostFace, their technical support team and server administrators will be available 24/7. The team maintains the hardware and software available to answer your questions while you’re getting set up, help you troubleshoot issues, or provide advice if you’re doing something for the first time.

Not all VPS providers include a free Domain, but WebHostFace includes one on all plans. Just be sure that you’re not being charged at checkout, because we’ve experienced some unusual behavior after visiting and leaving the checkout page.

They utilize OpenVZ for virtualization. OpenVZ allows for the creation of the containers for VPS instances on one Operating System. Users get full access to the node processor, which offers improved CPU performance for each VPS instance. OpenVZ has dedicated resources for each user, but also utilizes Burst resources, which allocates unused resources temporarily to another user on the server. Don’t worry; it won’t affect your dedicated resources. If there are no spare resources available, it will terminate burst resources.

The majority of hosting providers limit VPS OS installations to Linux, and Webhostface is no different. Still, they do offer a good list of distros, including CentOS 6/7, Debian 7/8, Suse 13.1, Ubuntu 12.04/14.04, and Slackware.

Surprises

While they advertise that each VPS plan comes with a Dedicated IP address, when you go to checkout, you’ll realize that a Dedicated IP address costs an extra $40/Year, and you’ll have the option to add up to 3 additional IP addresses for $5/month each. To be fair, the checkout page is very transparent but isn’t always in line with what you see throughout the site.

Many of the VPS pages mention cPanel, but when you’re ready to sign-up, you’ll find that it will cost an additional $18.95/month. As an alternative, ISPmanager Control Panel can be added for $7/month with Debian, CentOS, of Ubuntu.

What’s more, modular resources can be added to any of the four VPS plans. You’ll be able to add additional GBs of CPU for $10/month per GB (up to 3 GB), extra storage for $20/month per 10 GB (up to 30 GB), and added RAM for $10/month per GB (up to 3 GB). Unless you choose the highest plan (VPS 4), including any of these addons will bring your monthly price up to the next plan’s price, so you’re likely better off choosing one of the higher-level plans of adding these resources individually.

It is a fairly unique feature not offered by most providers, so if you want to super-charge your VPS, it’s a great option. On the other hand, if you’re ready for more resources, you may want to see if the Dedicated Servers below are a better fit.

All-in-all, WebHostFace delivers VPS prices that are hard to beat. For site-owners who are ready to graduate from Shared Hosting will find there are a variety of flexible VPS plans that can easily accommodate your site as it grows. We did have a few concerns about the inconsistencies with the addon features described above, but we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt since everything is clearly displayed when you checkout.

Dedicated Hosting Review

Best for: High traffic sites, maximum resources & security

Whether you need more resources to power your growing site, want to host a custom app or game, or just want full control, WebHostFace’s four Dedicated Server plans offer robust hardware at very competitive prices.

What’s Included:

WebHostFace’s dedicated servers offer excellent resources and computing power within similar price ranges across other providers. If you’re looking to get started with your first dedicated server, the Entry plan starts at $116.10/month ($129/month renewal) and includes hardware and resources that compare to the competition’s plans that cost three times as much. The Entry plan offers a Dual Intel Xeon 5420 processor (8 CPU cores), 16GB RAM, 20TB Bandwidth, and your choice of a 240GB SSD or 2TB HDD drive. Besides the storage space (which can be increased) that is on par with other hosts, but to find a dedicated server with these features, you’ll have to be willing to spend around $300/month with another host.

You get the option of a server located in Germany or the US, allowing you to provide better speed in the areas with most of your users. Be aware that the hardware that comes with each plan differs at each location, so read carefully.

WebHostFace doesn’t offer the option to choose between an unmanaged or fully managed server, and their secure locations have administrators on-site 24/7. Compared to some other hosts that charge a steep premium for server management, you may have to do more of the customizations yourself. Still, their site provides detailed instructions via their extensive Knowledgebase and video tutorials.

WebHostFace also includes a free domain for a year, which will continue to be free if it remains your primary domain when you renew your plan. This isn’t too common with Dedicated plans, as most website owners would be moving from Shared Hosting or VPS. While they don’t offer Windows, you have the choice of CentOS (5, 6, or 7), Ubuntu, Debian, or Scientific Linux.

Add-Ons

WebHostFace’s Dedicated Servers don’t include a long list of upcharge addons compared to other hosts, but they do allow you to add or change modular features after the initial purchase by contacting the support team. It’s unclear what the costs are for hardware add-ons, but there are a few added costs that you can opt to include when you sign-up.

Dedicated servers from WebHostFace don’t include any control panel, whereas most hosts install one at no charge. You can have cPanel installed for $39/month, which is pretty pricey. Alternatively, they offer ISPSystem for $7/month, which is focused primarily on managing users and accounts but does provide a decent user interface to manage other common tasks if you don’t want to spend up for cPanel.

If you purchase a server without a control panel, you can always purchase your own ISPSystem license for $4.47/month. You’ll need to install and manage it yourself. Still, it allows you to utilize Cloudfare CDN, Softaculous, Let’s Encrypt SSL, ImunifyAV, and CloudLinux if you choose (some additional fees apply for add-on modules).

Dedicated servers include one dedicated IP, with the option to add one for $40/year, and up to four more for $5/month each. Free SSLs aren’t included, but a Private SSL can be added for $49.95/year.

If you’ll be processing financial transactions, or having users enter their information on your site, you probably wouldn’t want to use a Free SSL certificate anyways. They don’t provide much detail about the type of SSL, but the price is comparable to what other registrars charge. Softaculous can also be added for $4.50/month. Many hosts include it, but that’s high compared to providers that do charge for it.

Overall, WebHostFace’s dedicated server plans include generous resources at very competitive prices. They don’t offer many additional options, like RAID configurations for data resiliency, but they do allow you to upgrade the hardware and add drives as needed.

Unfortunately, you can’t customize the hardware when signing up on their site, so if you’re planning on requesting modifications to the server, you should contact their sales team before ordering. If they don’t have set rates or options defined, they may offer you a better deal to get your business, rather than the opportunity to make incremental revenue once you’re already a paying customer!

Top Features

24/7 Support

Webhostface customers have access to technical and service support any hour of the day.

Multiple Data Centers

Webhostface customers aren’t limited to Europe or the U.S like some providers.

Scalable Server Environments

Webhostface offer solutions right up to dedicated servers.

Free Site Migration

Webhostface promise no-downtime site migrations and upgrades on most plans.

WebHostFace Server Performance

To test WebhostFace’s hosting performance we used a few Pingdom reports. Over the span of a year, Pingdom’s probes (located across North America) performed daily checks, on a basic website (less than 100KBs) hosted on WebhostFace’s shared server environment. Additionally, there was no throttling added to these checks, so slower response times can be expected for 3G or 4G connections.

Yearly Server Performance:

  • Average Uptime

    100.00%

  • Average Response Time

    0.00ms

  • Monthly Downtime

    No Downtime

Data shown as monthly Uptime averages for a basic Godaady website

Server performance can affect all aspects of your site. Case studies have consistently found that customer wait times (page load and response times) directly affect everything from SEM, revenue, and traffic growth. By a lot too, here’s just one example:

For Mobify, every 100ms decrease in homepage load speed worked out to a 1.11% increase in session-based conversion, yielding an average annual revenue increase of nearly $380,000.

Security

WebHostFace offers solid security features to protect their customers’ sites and accounts, and shield their hardware, network, and facilities to ensure that their clients’ data remains safe, ensuring uptime and protection.

All WebHostFace servers are stored in secure facilities with staff on-site 24/7. Owned/operated by Digital Reality Trust, the infrastructure is in place to maintain performance, protection, and reliability. Each server is hardened during deployment and includes managed OS patches and updates to implement the latest safeguards. Constant monitoring detects intrusions and identifies vulnerabilities.

The systems utilize web application firewalls and intelligent policies to identify and prevent common attacks. They filter IP addresses based on reputation, and the firewall system blocks brute force attacks, MySQL injection attempts, DDoS attacks, and prevents the execution of malicious scripts. Blackhat SEO and spam attempts can destroy or slow down your website, so preventing them is crucial to keeping your site running consistently well.

Many of WebHostFace’s plans come with a free SSL certificate to protect the security of your visitors’ data. It’s necessary to protect data being transmitted to and from your visitors, so a free SSL certificate is a great way to start by making visitors feel comfortable. This is a standard offering, but is beneficial, nonetheless.

Customer Support Review

While many hosting providers only provide technical support via a ticketing system, WebHostFace also allows customers to get help with issues and questions via live chat 24/7. When something goes wrong, it’s nice to get an answer quickly, instead of waiting for a response to a support ticket. The response time for their chat is almost immediate. You’ll get a friendly response, typically in less than a minute.

The customer service reps don’t all speak perfect English, but they understand the technical aspects of requests, are patient and will spend as much time with you as needed to resolve your issue.

In addition to the helpful technical support and on-site staff, WebHostFace provides a vast knowledge base and library of video tutorials that provide detailed instructions to walk you through the most common issues. Many providers promote their blogs, which market their products and services, but WebHostFace provides useful content for current and prospective customers.

Besides, with dedicated server plans, Premium Support costs an additional $2/month. It’s not entirely clear what it offers, but they state that it gives you priority service to help with your questions and inquiries. Their standard response time is swift, so it may not be necessary to purchase the premium support, but if you have detailed development plans, or expect to need constant support, it may be something to consider.

WebHostFace says they will try to help with third-party software, which is not something other providers will consider. Most hosts only offer to support software that they install. Even if WebHostFace isn’t able to solve your issue, they’ll at least try to help you troubleshoot problems with software from other sources. Since they can access your server, they can assist with issues that the software provider may not be able to, without the ability to explore your setup.

Support Tickets

Webhostface offer ticket support, which can be accessed via the Client area.

Live Chat

Webhostface offer 24/7 technical and sales support via live chat.
